Mike DePauw
Hi everyone. My name is Mike DePauw. I am a freshman this year and am in your English 110 class. I am studying Business Finance and am planning on going to Law School after I graduate. I grew up in Strongsville, Ohio, which is located near Cleveland, Ohio. I attended Strongsville High school and graduated among 670 students. In high school, I was pretty involved. I was a captain of the varsity hockey team as well as the captain of the tennis team. Also, I was an instructor for the Special Olympics Learn-To-Skate program at our local ice rink and a volunteer at Southwest General Health Center. I am a pretty laid back person, but am focused on what I want. I am also looking forward to this year and meeting new people.

Mike, I didn't know how involved you were, especially in those High School sports. It sounds like you did a lot of work! I didn't know you are from Strongsville. I don't think you're too far away from me in Warren. I think it's pretty awesome what you did with the Special Olympics, too. It's always great and so rewarding to give back like that. Best of luck making it to Law School. I was thinking of going to Vet School so I know what it feels like to have a large climb in front of me academically.
ReplyDeleteThat's really neat that you helped out with the special olympics!
ReplyDeleteMike, that is sweet that you use your unique talent of being a great ice skater to help others. I am sure that it is a very rewarding experience for you and the people you help. Best of luck with making it into Law School!
ReplyDeleteHey I think I've heard of you before. Mike is it? Haha. Im just joking man, but I didn't know that you were captains on both your teams and I also didn't know that you did work for the special olympics. That deserves a lot of respect. I'm glad that we are the same major so we can help each other out and I haven't ruled out going into law either.
ReplyDeleteI did not know you played tennis either! How exciting! My family is into serious tennis and I stopped playing competively last year. We should definitely play!
ReplyDeleteAthletic band is definitely worth it if you can keep up! I wasn't used to the fast paced practices, so I was really lost my first day! haha. But after a while, it gets easier! That's really cool that you were the drum major! What did you play before that?
